David Howell
Senior Credit Advisor
Dr David Howell is Senior Credit Advisor for Kapstream Capital.
Prior to joining Kapstream, Dr Howell served as a senior analyst at Moody's Investors Service from 2002 to 2008, where he specialised in project finance and infrastructure. In addition, he was responsible for monitoring as well as rating a wide variety of Australian and New Zealand credits.
After completing his PhD in geology Dr Howell worked for Exxon Corporation in Houston, Texas where he served as an Exploration Geologist, Development Coordinator and Senior Planning Advisor. He returned to Australia in 1986 to start NatWest's project finance team followed by three years in New York heading up the debt markets area of NatWest. Additionally, Dr Howell spent two years in NatWest's London office gaining experience in private equity.
Dr Howell has over 20 years' investment experience, holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney, a Masters of Science and a PhD from the University of South Carolina and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
